History
The Homeopathic Education Society runs Smt. Chandaben Mohanbhai Patel homeopathic Medical College.
The Late Shri Mangaldas Pakwasa founded The homeopathic Education Society with the object of establishing a Medical College, Hospital and Charitable Dispensaries, which would pave the way for the spread of scientific homeopathic practice and research.
The Institution that came into being in 1957, in a rented premises at Sion, Bombay, took a giant leap forward in 1960, by acquiring about 17000 sq yards of land in Vile Parle west, Bombay and building over a period of time, the homeopathic complex, accommodating the Smt. Chandaben Mohanbhai Patel homeopathic Medical College, Shree Mumbadevi homeopathic Hospital and Dr. A. D. Edal Behram Girls Hostel.

Affiliation
In the initial stage, the college prepared the students for the L.C.E.H. Diploma course.
In 1983, it became affiliated to the University of Bombay [now Mumbai], when it introduced the B.H.M.S. Degree course having a duration of 5-1/2 years.
The college is included in the SECOND SCHEDULE OF CENTRAL COUNCIL OF homeopathy ACT, 1973. For details visit www.cchindia.com

Departments
The college is housed in a four acre campus and has a well equipped departments and lecture rooms for teaching and laboratories for practical training.
This homeopathic educational institution has all the infrastructure needed, mainly a teaching hospital, teaching personnel, well stocked library, beautiful botanical and herbal gardens.
The college has the following departments along with all medical and paramedical subjects, the facilities being better than most homeopathic colleges in India and elsewhere.

Lecture Halls
In sync with advent of modern technology, the Institute has air-conditioned Lecture halls with Multi-media Projectors, to impart an audio-visual medical training to students and interns through various medical softwares and audio, video and powerpoint presentations.
Our students have been performing consistently well as evidenced by our vast and successful alumni. Our faculty is well represented in various national and international fora.
Regular Workshops, Symposia, Seminars and conferences are hosted for a continued education in the field of homeopathy.

Library
The brain or the storehouse of any institute is the LIBRARY and the institute boasts of one of the best. The Library has an air-conditioned ambience. It has a seating capacity of 100 and has a huge collection of books, journals and periodicals covering all topics including some rare pieces of work. Our library has been rated as one of the best as far as homeopathic books are concerned.
The library currently stocks more than 14000 books along with numerous homeopathic and allied medical journals.
The Institute also provides the facility for accessing Online Medical Journals.

Juhu Jagruti Auditorium
Seminars, scientific meetings and cultural programs of the students are regularly held in this air-conditioned auditorium. It is also used for lectures with audiovisual aid for students. The seating capacity is 255.
The college leaves no stone unturned in imparting quality training and employs the latest teaching aids.

The Hostel
Dr. A. D. Edal Behram Girls Hostel is housed within the campus of the homeopathic Education Society. It provides a safe, healthy and economical accommodation for out-station female medical students, to pursue their medical studies.
Arrangement are also made for providing accommodation to male students nearby.

Gymkhana

For an all-round development of the students, sports facilities are provided in the Campus Premises.
The Students Gymkhana has facilities for table tennis, carom and chess.Cricket, soccer, and other field sports are also organized annually.
